4 for the price of 1

August 9, 2007

Last weekend the boyfriend and I went out to the burbs to house/dog sit for my mom.  She has a lovely home with a great pool in the backyard but for us city folk there isn’t much to do.  We exercised the animals, we swam, we went to the dog park, baked cookies, drank plenty of alcohol, and by Saturday morning we were bored out of our minds.

Boyfriend has been extremely excited to see the new Bourne Ultimatum (as was I) so we decided to check out movie times.  Given that we are on a massive budget (we have a down payment looming over our heads) we don’t generally like to pay the $10 ticket price.  You can imagine how excited we were when we found tickets at our favorite theater for $5 a piece!  Whoa.  We were so happy with ourselves we went back the next day to see another movie.  Not only that, but the theater had equipment issues so we got free tickets to another movie.  So over the course of 3 days I saw three movies for the price of one (and I still have a free pass)!

You too can experience the poor person’s movie.  All you have to do drive to the burbs and hit up the movie theater before noon.  I told you we were bored…
